It was claimed her battle with Lyme disease was a primary reason for their divorce.
But David Foster has spoken out to say there were ‘other issues’ behind his split with former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills personality Yolanda Hadid.
The Canadian music producer opened up about their famous 2015 uncoupling, which was finalised in May, as he attended the Grammy Museum’s annual gala in Los Angeles.
Lyne no reason: David Foster has said there were ‘other issues’ behind his split from ex-wife Yolanda
The 67-year-old, who has worked with acts such as Alice Cooper, Christina Aguilera and, most excitingly of all, Kenny Rogers, told ET: ‘We just always did our best.
‘We had some other issues as well, but everybody’s in a good place now.
‘The main thing is that she’s healthy and in remission. She worked really hard at it and now she’s reaping the rewards of that.’
He also admitted he is yet to read his fourth wife’s book Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease, perhaps a boon given she writes extensively about their breakup.
Following their split former model Yolanda reverted to her previous name of Hadid.

She is said to have been given support by her friendly former husband, property developer Mohamed, following her split. He is the father of her three children: Gigi, 22, Bella, 20, and son 18-year-old son Anwar.
Indeed David previously revealed it was he who actually set them up, saying: ”Mohamed and I were friends, and we had this plan that we were going to live together.
‘ I was walking around his house, and I saw all these photographs of him and her and their children. I said, “That’s your ex-wife, and I’d like to meet her.” So he introduced us.’

Explaining her decision to change her surname, Yolanda previously said: ‘I talked about it with my kids. I never dropped the name Hadid because I have three children by that last name and I asked the kids, “Should I go back to van den Herik?”
‘And they said, “No. You’re our mommy and we have the same last name.”‘
Meanwhile David raised eyebrows when he walked the red carpet with his much younger rumoured lover Katherine McPhee at the Grammy Museum Gala, where he was the honoree.

The pair cuddled up to each other on the red carpet, before David tinkled the ivories as the 33-year-old performed.
Adding further fuel to rumours the pair are getting serious, David’s 35-year-old daughter Erin captioned a snap of the couple on an Instagram story: ‘Excited about my new step mom.’
They then reportedly traveled to Vancouver together after the event along with music director Michael Orland and Katherine’s mother Patricia.
They first met in 2006 when he mentored her during doomed bid to win American Idol. They maintained a close bond, returning to perform together on the show two years later.
