Scientist- Autoimmune disease model development


Position Summary

A highly motivated Ph.D level scientist is being sought to join our VelocImmune-NEXT immune technology development group. The successful candidate will be involved in creating novel state of the art mouse models to study human autoimmune diseases. Therefore, the individual should have a solid background in mouse and human immunology with a strong preference in T-cell biology and their role in autoimmune disease.

You will be the key player for developing T-cell driven mouse models of human autoimmune disease to test human therapeutic antibodies in.

You will be in charge of designing and running in vivo disease models and developing assays to test the functionality of immune cells isolated from genetically modified mice.

As VI-NEXT is responsible for developing the essential mouse platforms to test human therapeutics for all research groups, your responsibilities will include collaborating with scientists across the entire organization to drive projects forward.

Job Requirements:

This position requires a PhD, and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in mouse immunology field. A strong knowledge of general immunology, especially of the adaptive immune system and experience in working with immune disease models in mice, flow cytometry, ex vivo immunological assays such as ELISAs, ELISPOTs as well as culturing immune cells in vitro are required.

Strong preference for expertise in T-cell biology and current knowledge of mouse autoimmune disease models.
